Thirty-nine enterprises from Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District have been included in China’s eighth batch of specialized, sophisticated, distinctive and innovative “little giant” enterprises for 2026, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s platform for the tiered development of high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises. The additions account for nearly half of Guangzhou’s total, placing the district first citywide in newly recognized enterprises.
The district’s cumulative total of national-level “little giant” enterprises now stands at 247, accounting for more than 40 percent of Guangzhou’s total. It continues to rank first among the city’s districts.
The 39 newly recognized enterprises span key local industries, including integrated circuits, biomedicine, intelligent equipment and artificial intelligence, with a focus on cutting-edge technologies and emerging fields.
