Guangzhou Development District Selected to Develop National Emerging Industries Demonstration Base

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the first batch of industrial parks and enterprises selected to develop national demonstration bases for emerging industries. Guangzhou Development District was among three selected in the low-altitude equipment demonstration park category. EHang, based in the district, was also one of nine enterprises selected in the same category. The inclusion of both the district and the company further highlights the district’s strengths across the low-altitude economy value chain.

The district is accelerating the development of a new layout for its low-altitude economy, featuring smart manufacturing in the north, innovation in the center and future-oriented development in the south.

In the north, the district is developing the 5.2-square-kilometer Knowledge City Low-Altitude Intelligent Equipment Park. The initial development area in the park’s northern section covers 9.9 hectares and includes XAG Super Farm and XPENG ARIDGE’s flying car smart manufacturing base project.

The central area is home to VTRON Innovation Park in Science City, the Greater Bay Area (Huangpu) Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Innovation Center, and Kaitou Zhihui Industrial Space.

In the south, the district is developing the 3.49-hectare Guangzhou–Hong Kong Low-Altitude Future City, where a future city project focused on the low-altitude economy is located.
