Interior of the Guangzhou Perennial International Healthcare and Eldercare Community
The Guangzhou Perennial International Healthcare and Eldercare Community at Huangpi Dongchuang Plaza in Huangpu District is now largely complete. It will open for public visits at the end of September, with its official opening expected in early November this year.
With a total investment of approximately RMB 500 million and a floor area of more than 90,000 square meters, the project has a planned capacity of 1,600 beds across its medical and eldercare facilities. It brings together a rehabilitation hospital, a nursing hospital and a residential eldercare facility, allowing older residents to receive continuous care as their needs change without having to relocate.
The development includes Perennial Rehabilitation Hospital Guangzhou Huangpu, South China’s first wholly foreign-owned tertiary rehabilitation hospital. Once operational, it will provide residents of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with one-stop services spanning health management, medical rehabilitation and long-term care.
The community will serve people of all ages, with a particular focus on older adults who have partially or fully lost the ability to care for themselves, as well as those living with dementia. It will also cater to people requiring postoperative rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation and chronic disease management.
