Eight New Schools and Campuses Open This Autumn in Huangpu, Guangzhou

Huangpu District in Guangzhou is significantly expanding its basic education provision this September. Eight new schools and campuses are opening for the autumn semester of 2026, adding more than 19,000 school places. They cover primary, junior secondary and special education, with a focus on drawing on the expertise of established schools and diversifying educational provision.

Among them, the much-anticipated Huangpu Experimental School of Central China Normal University draws on the extensive resources of the university’s education group, combining its educational experience with local needs to provide quality education.

As the district’s first special education school built to standardized specifications, Huangpu Qimingxing School is exploring an integrated approach combining medical care, education, rehabilitation and social support. By bringing medical and rehabilitation resources directly onto campus, the school enables children with special needs to receive rehabilitation services alongside their schooling and development.
