Driving through Huangpu, one sees expansive woodlands interwoven with factory buildings, pocket parks nestled among office towers, and forest trails linking research institutes and residential communities to form walkable green corridors. Today, the vision of “forests within the city and the city within forests” is no longer confined to planning documents. As Huangpu advances its three-year action plan to develop a district-wide park city, greenery envisioned on blueprints is becoming part of everyday life. This major manufacturing district, with an annual industrial output exceeding 800 billion yuan, is redefining industrial strength in a gentler way: industries are reaching new heights as greenery spreads all around.
