Brain Science Center of The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University Breaks Ground in Huangpu, Guangzhou

On Aug. 10, construction began on the Brain Science Center of The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. Located on the original site of the hospital’s East Campus, the project will have a total floor area of 172,000 square meters and 1,200 beds. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2030.

Upon completion, the center will serve as an innovative platform integrating precision diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases with medical services, education and research in brain science. It is also expected to become the largest brain science center at a general hospital in China.
