“Huangpu Smart Manufacturing” Drives Agricultural Automation as XAG Unveils Next-Generation Agricultural Robots

Updated : 2026-07-10

On the morning of July 6, XAG held its 2026 Agricultural Robot Launch at the XAG SuperX Farm in Liantang Village, Huangpu District, Guangzhou. At the event, the company unveiled the new XAG X Series Agricultural Robot and the RM80 Unmanned Mower, marking a step in its shift from “human-machine collaboration” toward automated agricultural production.

The XAG X Series Agricultural Robot comprises three core components: the X Series Agricultural Drone, the XA1 Agricultural Drone Airport and the LM1 Smart Liquid Mixing System. Compared with earlier XAG products, the X Series has four key features: fully autonomous flight, covering takeoff, landing and field operations; automatic charging, eliminating manual battery swaps; automatic liquid mixing and filling, moving crop protection operations toward end-to-end automation; and automatic cleaning, keeping the system ready for its next round of efficient operations.
“The new-generation products are equipped with the SuperX 5 Apex intelligent controller, which delivers twice the computing power, enhancing autonomous flight capabilities and operational efficiency,” said XAG founder Peng Bin. The products also feature a next-generation 4D imaging radar and a newly added vertical radar, enabling clearer detection of small obstacles and more precise and reliable obstacle avoidance in complex environments. Their wire-detection rate exceeds 90 percent.
For charging, the system uses XAG’s B18630 Smart Flash Battery, which cuts charging time to just 2.5 minutes for a quick charge and 3.5 minutes for a full charge, with a service life of 4,000 charging cycles. The XA1 Agricultural Drone Airport is fitted with a durable flexible floating socket that automatically compensates for alignment errors. Supporting 10,000 takeoff-and-landing docking operations, it enables charging to begin immediately after the drone lands. In addition, the XAG LM1 Smart Liquid Mixing System can automatically mix crop protection solutions, keep them circulating and agitated, and rapidly fill the drone’s tank.
XAG also unveiled the RM80 Unmanned Mower at the event. Featuring a lightweight all-aluminum frame, it has a net weight of just 143 kilograms. Targeting field weed control, a key challenge in achieving high-standard, high-quality crop cultivation, the RM80 combines an all-electric drive with full-stack intelligence. Its high-mobility chassis and high-performance cutting deck enable it to operate across a range of scenarios, including weed removal in orchards, reclamation of uncultivated land and stubble removal in fields, providing an efficient and environmentally friendly solution for agricultural weed control.
