Guangzhou's Huangpu District Hosts "Fruit Run and Fun Carnival"

In May, Guangzhou is filled with the sweet scent of fruit. During Mother’s Day, the "Fruit Run and Fun Carnival"—guided by the Huangpu District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and jointly executed by multiple organizations—successfully concluded at Guangzhou Fruit World. The event marked a practical step in implementing the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Project," leveraging the integration of agriculture, culture, tourism, and sports to empower rural revitalization. The carnival attracted over 1,200 participants from various districts across Guangzhou. Online registration reached full capacity immediately upon opening, making it a highly popular mass cultural event for Mother's Day.
The chosen venue, Guangzhou Fruit World, integrates scientific research, science popularization, and sightseeing. Relying on its more than 400 premium South Asian tropical fruit varieties, it provided a high-quality space for cultural and tourism activities. The event adopted a model of "government guidance, enterprise hosting, and professional execution," thoroughly coordinating security, medical care, and other support measures to ensure its smooth and orderly operation.

Centered on "running, fruits, and family bonding," the event featured a 4.5-kilometer orchard jogging trail paired with an unlimited supply of over 20 seasonal fruits. A variety of supporting activities, including a lawn concert and a parent-child treasure hunt, were also organized to meet the needs of participants across all age groups. The event garnered significant attention from mainstream media, generating over 2 million online impressions and receiving widespread praise from the public.
Moving forward, Huangpu District will use this event as a starting point to deeply cultivate the distinctive "Fruit Run" IP and promote the implementation of a series of premium cultural and tourism projects.
