Recently, Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District welcomed a new project in the low-altitude industry. The Hangjing Innovation heavy-lift drone project officially signed an agreement to settle in the Aerospace Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Park in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, a park operated by Guangzhou Development District Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Guangkai Transport Investment Group"). The project will focus on the large-scale application of heavy-lift drones in scenarios such as low-altitude logistics, material delivery, and emergency rescue. It will also establish an R&D, delivery, training, and operational service center targeting South China and overseas markets.
Teaming up with Yuanhang Capital and leveraging the guiding role of the Yuanhang Guangzhou Fund, the Guangkai Transport Investment Group successfully introduced Hangjing Innovation, a national-level specialized, sophisticated, distinctive, and innovative (SRDI) "Little Giant" enterprise.
Founded in November 2008, Hangjing Innovation specializes in the R&D, manufacturing, and technical services of heavy-lift unmanned helicopters and eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft. Armed with high technological barriers, the company has achieved fruitful results in both military and civilian domains. Hangjing Innovation independently masters core technologies, including next-generation bearingless rotor systems, redundant flight control systems, advanced composite main rotors, and aviation turboshaft engines. It has developed a product lineup with takeoff weights ranging from 200 to 2,500 kilograms, among which the FWH-1500 and FWH-3000 unmanned helicopters stand at an internationally advanced level.
Relying on mature drone platforms and extensive practical industry cases, Hangjing Innovation has built a comprehensive and highly replicable suite of industry solutions covering key sectors such as emergency rescue, forest firefighting, emergency communications, and material transportation.
It is reported that the newly settled Hangjing Innovation heavy-lift drone project in Guangzhou Development District will initially develop unmanned ground-effect vehicles. These vehicles boast navigation speeds far exceeding those of traditional ships and have more flexible takeoff and landing requirements than seaplanes. The project will effectively fill the regional gap in high-end low-altitude equipment manufacturing, clear bottlenecks in key links of low-altitude logistics, and facilitate the implementation of scenarios like material transportation and emergency delivery between coastal cities and islands. It will also enhance the core competitiveness and influence of the industrial chain, boosting the high-quality development of Huangpu’s low-altitude economy.
This signing is a concrete practice by the Guangkai Transport Investment Group to serve the real economy and cultivate strategic emerging industries, achieving the deep integration of technology, industry, and capital. Reportedly, Yuanhang Capital primarily invests in highly advanced and innovative technology enterprises with market potential, originality, high barriers, and rapid growth prospects in sectors such as aerospace, high-end equipment manufacturing, and new energy. The firm currently manages 18 funds and has cumulatively invested in 55 projects, with total paid-in capital exceeding RMB 1.75 billion.
On the same day, the Guangkai Transport Investment Group and Yuanhang Capital signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will cooperate deeply in equity investment, fund operations, project resources, and industrial capital. Together, they will build a replicable "fund-driven + park-supported" industrial attraction and cultivation platform, providing integrated support services to facilitate the settlement of more high-quality projects in the future.
