Guangzhou Huangpu's "Super Coffee Machine Factory" Reaches an Annual Output of Nearly 400,000 Units

Updated : 2026-04-22

Despite not being a traditional coffee-producing region, Guangzhou boasts 8,017 coffee shops, ranking second in China and first in South China. It serves as a vital gateway for global raw coffee beans entering China, a highland for innovative coffee trends, and a major hub for the export of smart coffee equipment.
In recent years, leveraging its industrial capacity, technological prowess, and market consumption power, Guangzhou has built a comprehensive urban coffee industry. In 2025, the annual output value of Guangzhou's entire coffee industry chain reached 67 billion yuan, with raw bean imports accounting for 42% of the national total. A simple cup of coffee has become a window showcasing Guangzhou's commercial vitality, industrial upgrading, and consumer appeal.

In 2024, 183,000 tons of raw coffee beans were imported through Guangzhou Customs, accounting for 42% of the national total, with an import value ranging from 800 million to 1 billion US dollars. Huangpu Port, Nansha Port, and Baiyun Airport form a highly efficient logistics network. Facilitation measures such as "inspection upon arrival," 48-hour customs clearance, 6-hour air transport clearance, and bonded deferred taxes allow high-quality global raw beans to enter Guangzhou swiftly and smoothly before being distributed nationwide.
A representative from the Guangzhou Coffee Association stated that Guangzhou has become a crucial hub for coffee trade in China, characterized by a strong dual-drive of imports and exports. In the future, with the ongoing construction of the "International Coffee Trading Center," its role as a trade and distribution hub will be further strengthened.

Every aromatic cup of coffee sold on the streets is backed by a complete industry chain. The industrial ecosystem—woven together by factories, warehouses, exhibitions, and stores—sustains Guangzhou's coffee industry, which is valued at tens of billions of yuan.
Enterprises like GLeeee Coffee boast an annual roasting volume exceeding 3,000 tons and can supply 360,000 cups of coffee to the market in a single day. They steadily support the daily operations of over 6,000 coffee shops in South China and successfully entered overseas markets last year with high-end specialty coffee. The coffee trading and roasting sector maintains a stable annual revenue of 8 billion to 12 billion yuan, serving as the solid foundation of the industry.
The manufacturing of coffee equipment and utensils equips Guangzhou with the "hard power" to go global.
In Huangpu's Intelligent Manufacturing Park, smart coffee machines are fully assembled, tested, and ready for global shipment. Jetinno Intelligent, a Guangzhou-based company focusing on coffee machine technology innovation and large-scale manufacturing, relies on continuous R&D investment and manufacturing upgrades. Its products are exported to over 100 countries and regions, accounting for about 70% of its total sales. The European market, known for its strict coffee quality standards, takes the largest share. Successfully penetrating traditional coffee-consuming powerhouses like Italy and Japan, the company has helped "Guangzhou Smart Manufacturing" establish a firm foothold globally. The coffee equipment and utensil sector generates an annual revenue of 5 billion to 8 billion yuan, emerging as a new highlight of industrial growth.
Looking ahead, Guangzhou plans to connect the upstream and downstream sectors of the industry through major industry events, creating a closed-loop ecosystem for Guangzhou coffee and driving a strong economic multiplier effect.
