Updated : 2026-04-14

Recently, four computing power projects officially broke ground at the Guangzhou Computing Power New Infrastructure Commencement and Supply-Demand Matchmaking Conference. All of the projects are located in the Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District, with a combined investment totaling 4.839 billion yuan. Once completed, they are expected to add more than 40,000 petaFLOPs of intelligent computing capacity, marking Guangzhou's first deployment of a standalone intelligent computing center operating at the "10,000-card, 10,000-petaFLOP" scale.
Reportedly, the China Mobile Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao (Guangzhou) Data Center is Guangzhou's first standalone "10,000-petaFLOP-class" new intelligent computing center. By adopting advanced technologies, it will provide core support for future industries such as 6G research and development. The China Unicom Knowledge City Data Center will focus on supporting delay-sensitive application scenarios, such as autonomous driving. Powered by Huawei 910B chips, the Yunxia Technology Huiyun Data Center will concentrate on serving strategic emerging industry customers, including those in embodied intelligence. Meanwhile, Phase II of the Lianyun Big Data Center will be powered 100% by green electricity.
Currently, the Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District are accelerating the development of a national high ground for intelligent computing and a cradle for core AI technologies.
