Guangdong OpenHarmony Adaptation Center Launched in Guangzhou

On March 20, the "Smart Bay Area · OpenHarmony Navigating Forward" Guangdong OpenHarmony Ecosystem and Guangzhou Intelligent Software Development Conference was held in Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District. At the event, the Guangdong Provincial OpenHarmony Adaptation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Provincial Adaptation Center") was officially inaugurated and began operations in the district.
The Provincial Adaptation Center is the only full-stack OpenHarmony industrial collaboration hub approved by the Guangdong Provincial Government. It follows a "one center, three bases" layout, with its headquarters and Guangzhou base located in Huangpu, while coordinating with bases in Dongguan and Foshan. With a total investment of 100 million yuan, it is positioned as a public service platform operating on a nonprofit public-interest basis with enterprise-driven management.
Leveraging the Provincial Adaptation Center as a platform, the district will build the province's first OpenHarmony innovation demonstration zone, with a focus on nine key sectors. In the field of traffic management, a traffic signal controller developed by local enterprise PCITECH, based on the "Jiahong Traffic" operating system, has become the first product to receive an OpenHarmony ecosystem adaptation certification from the Provincial Adaptation Center.
The operational framework of the Provincial Adaptation Center is clear and purposeful. A Technical Steering Committee (TSC) will chart the overall technological direction; joint industry laboratories will drive deep development in vertical sectors; and a network of municipal–district sub-centers and innovation hubs will be established to expand the OpenHarmony ecosystem. Together, these efforts will form a replicable model for ecosystem development — providing standardized solutions, a reserve of technical talent, and a platform for collaborative industrial innovation to support the nationwide growth of the OpenHarmony ecosystem.
At the conference, Guangzhou Intelligent Software Valley — the city's first intelligent agent industrial park — was officially unveiled, marking a significant step forward for Huangpu District in intelligent software and artificial intelligence. The district's state-owned industrial parks also released the "TOKEN 8 Measures" policy package, offering substantive, hands-on support for enterprises and developers.
