WeRide and Farizon Auto to Deliver 2,000 Production-Ready Robotaxi GXRs in 2026

Updated : 2026-03-20

WeRide, a Huangpu-based autonomous driving technology enterprise, and Farizon Auto (Geely's new energy commercial vehicle group, hereinafter referred to as "Farizon Auto") recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement to deepen their partnership. The two companies unveiled an upgraded production-ready Robotaxi GXR and announced that 2,000 units would be delivered and deployed in both domestic and overseas markets in 2026. This marks a new stage in the partnership between the two companies — advancing from product collaboration to a broader ecosystem of shared growth — and sets the stage for the global large-scale commercial operation of Robotaxi services.

The upgraded production-ready Robotaxi GXR is scheduled to roll off the production line in the third quarter of 2026. This production and delivery plan signals that WeRide's Robotaxi commercialization is gaining significant momentum.

As of January 2026, WeRide's global Robotaxi fleet has reached 1,023 vehicles. With the gradual delivery of the additional 2,000 vehicles, WeRide's global operational Robotaxi fleet will exceed 2,600 vehicles this year, steadily advancing toward the goal of building a global fleet of tens of thousands of vehicles by 2030.

Meanwhile, the GXR will become the first production-ready Robotaxi to be deployed in international markets, further consolidating the global industry standing of Huangpu's autonomous driving enterprises.
