A Strong Start! Spring Festival Tourism Revenue in Huangpu Surges by 72% Year-on-Year

During the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, the cultural and tourism consumption market in Huangpu District experienced a robust recovery, successfully getting off to a "strong start" in the Year of the Horse. Reportedly, Grade-A scenic spots, parks, and rural tourism destinations across the district welcomed a total of 520,700 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 7.69%. Tourism revenue reached 5.14 million yuan, soaring by 72.08% year-on-year. The growth rate of consumption far exceeded that of visitor numbers, demonstrating a significant economic spillover effect. The district's six star-rated hotels accommodated 7,289 guests, marking a 68.65% year-on-year increase with an average occupancy rate of 36.49%. This strong growth in cultural and tourism consumption has effectively driven the development of related industries, including accommodation, catering, and retail.

Throughout the holiday, the district's tourism market showed a positive trend of simultaneous growth in both "quantity and quality." The number of foreign tourists reached 587, highlighting the continued internationalization of Huangpu's tourism sector. The homestay market also performed exceptionally well; the occupancy rate of a monitored homestay hit 66.05%, maintaining high-level operations. The rapid growth in tourism consumption has not only directly boosted the revenues of related industries but also injected new momentum into the transformation and upgrading of the district's cultural and tourism sector, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the tourism economy for the rest of the year.
