Decoding Guangzhou’s “Green Development Solution”

APEC guests recently visited Fushan Circular Economy Industrial Park in Guangzhou to explore how waste can be turned into valuable resources. Through viewing windows, they were able to clearly observe actual production equipment, including unloading platforms, waste transfer and transport systems, and incineration furnaces. According to on-site staff, the facility processes an average of 12,600 tons of solid waste per day. The park generates over 1.2 billion kWh of electricity annually through waste incineration, which can meet the power demands of 500,000 households for an entire year.
Following this, the delegation visited Jingxia Village in Huangpu District to experience its pastoral scenery and visit key projects, including the Future Rural New Building Industrialization Demonstration Project and water system connectivity projects. The visit offered firsthand insight into the solid progress of comprehensive rural revitalization, driven by the integrated development of “agriculture + technology + culture + ecology.”(By Lei Yuhong, Guangzhou Daily All Media)
