Huangpu, Guangzhou: Villagers’ Dream of Quality Living Becomes a Reality

Updated : 2026-02-06

On the morning of February 4, as the final batch of concrete was successfully poured, the main structures of the first batch of resettlement housing on Plot F01 of the Zhenlong Village (West Area) Urban Village Renewal Project in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, officially topped out. Developed by the Guangzhou Development District Urban Development Group and co-constructed by China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau, the milestone signals that this major livelihood project—carrying the resettlement hopes of nearly two thousand households—has entered a new phase of final construction push and quality delivery.
According to reports, the project fully aligns with the “Good House” standards, integrating an overall construction philosophy that emphasizes good design, good construction, good materials, and good service. In terms of craftsmanship, innovative practices such as plaster-free techniques for concrete and ALC wall panels, comprehensive waterproofing upgrades, and thermal insulation gel are applied to fundamentally enhance building quality and durability, achieving a transition from basic housing to quality living.
The project is not merely about building houses, but about creating a community. Guided by the concept of Lingnan Harmony, the planning and design establish an overall layout featuring one axis, two corridors, two cores, and two clusters. The project places strong emphasis on the preservation and restoration of nine historical and cultural heritage sites, while also delivering nearly 90,000 square meters of subsidized housing, advancing improvements in the living environment, the continuation of historical context, and the provision of talent housing in a coordinated manner.
