On January 30, Red Wine Street at Jiuwo Park in the western area of Guangzhou Development District was bustling with visitors as the “Yinma Xiagang · Colorful West District” 2026 Xiagang Street New Year Flower Market officially opened. That evening, the West District Village Gala, themed “Colorful West District, Setting Sail for a New Journey,” was staged, presenting a cultural feast for nearly 1,000 on-site audience members.

Residents and visitors gathered at Red Wine Street to stroll through the flower market, shop for festive goods, and sample Cantonese products. Amid the lively atmosphere of the season, they experienced the warmth and vitality of the West District and welcomed the Lunar New Year together.

The “Yinma Xiagang · Colorful West District” 2026 Xiagang Street New Year Flower Market is jointly hosted by the Xiagang Subdistrict Office, the West District Company of Guangzhou Development District Investment Group, and Poly Culture and Tourism. The event runs through February 1, operating daily from 16:00 to 22:00. On its opening day, the flower market drew visitors with festive floral displays, interactive market activities, and the village gala, creating an immersive New Year experience that integrates browsing, shopping, and participation.
