Huangpu District Library and Guangzhou College of Commerce Establish Strategic Partnership

Recently, the Huangpu District Library and Guangzhou College of Commerce held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at the Zhongshu Building (Zhongshu Hall).

At the event, the two parties jointly unveiled the plaque for the “Huangpu District Library Guangzhou College of Commerce Branch.” This marks the official integration of the Guangzhou College of Commerce Library as an important extension point of Huangpu District’s public cultural service system. Its services will expand from serving teachers and students on campus to the general public in Huangpu District. A representative from the Huangpu District Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau donated a carefully curated collection of books to Guangzhou College of Commerce. The donated books cover multiple categories, including historical materials on the Nanhai Temple (Guangdong), records of the historical landscapes of ancient villages in Huangpu, bilingual cultural publications in Chinese and English, and the Stories of Huangpu series, comprehensively showcasing the local history and culture of Huangpu District.

 On the same day, the first special lecture jointly organized by the Huangpu District Library, titled “Setting Sail in the Workplace — Career Planning,” was held, attracting more than 150 students. A well-known career planning expert was invited to give a detailed explanation of the importance and practical approaches to career planning, helping students better plan their future development and enhance their professional competencies. In the future, the two parties will collaborate around resources and services to carry out a wide range of cultural activities, including jointly hosting reading-sharing sessions, cultural exhibitions, and academic lectures, with the aim of building a distinctive university–local cultural service brand, enhancing the quality of cultural education, and fostering a rich scholarly atmosphere.
