Recently, the inauguration ceremony of the Amway Good Life Square and the celebration of Amway (China)’s 30th anniversary were held in Guangzhou. At the event, community hosts from Amway and local traditional food vendors co-created a vibrant “Good Life Market,” promoting healthy, civilized, green, and fulfilling lifestyle concepts to the public.
Located in Guangzhou’s Huangpu District, the Amway Good Life Square is a joint development by the Guangzhou Development District, Huangpu District, and Amway. Adjacent to Amway’s Guangzhou production base and built along the historic Fuxu Canal, the square is lined with 100 floss silk trees in full bloom. It features the Amway Wharf, Amway Theater, fitness trails, and sports facilities. The 21,500-square-meter waterfront area has become a lively hub for outdoor activities.
The Good Life Square is one of Amway’s major initiatives since becoming a “City Partner” of Guangzhou, reflecting its comprehensive participation in the city’s modernization efforts. On August 18, 2025, Amway (China) was officially appointed as a “Guangzhou City Partner · Strategic Partner.” Under the strategic framework agreement, Amway will leverage the opportunity presented by the 15th National Games to focus on the core of the health and wellness industry. Through government–enterprise collaboration, efforts will concentrate on advancing the ecosystem of “Healthy Guangzhou,” enhancing public health literacy, promoting industrial upgrading, and improving the well-being of Guangzhou residents—contributing to Guangzhou’s goal of becoming a model for a “Better Guangzhou” and a benchmark city for the national “Healthy China” strategy.
Over the past 30 years since entering the Chinese market, Amway has maintained in-depth cooperation with leading institutions such as the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. It has participated in major national scientific research projects and achieved significant breakthroughs in plant nutrition research. Today, Amway has built one of the industry’s largest plant germplasm resource banks, comprising more than 200 plant species and over 900 varieties — including 304 lotus varieties, 124 chrysanthemum varieties, and 131 blueberry varieties. Through its collaboration with China’s space program, Amway has carried out three large-scale space-breeding missions involving traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, and several product lines derived from these ingredients are now sold worldwide.
