XPENG AeroHT Launches Test Flight Collaboration in Guangzhou’s Huangpu District

Recently, the launch ceremony for the mass-production testing and test-flight collaboration project between Guangzhou Development District Transportation Investment Group and AeroHT was held at the Low-Altitude Industry Equipment Manufacturing Park in Guangzhou Knowledge City. This event marked the first test-flight demonstration conducted by XPENG AeroHT at the park’s dedicated runway.

According to reports, the runway serves as a supporting test facility for enterprises within the park. It provides standardized and regulated conditions for key testing procedures such as flight-parameter calibration and safety-performance verification, making it a key enabler for the transition of flying cars from technological R&D to large-scale application.

The cooperation project is located at the Low-Altitude Industry Equipment Manufacturing Park in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. Phase I of the park covers approximately 100,000 square meters, with a total floor area of around 280,000 square meters. Integrating production, R&D, testing, and office functions, the park is committed to providing high-standard industrial space for enterprises in the low-altitude economy sector.

Within the park, R&D laboratories, hangars, and the runway work in close coordination, forming a comprehensive closed-loop system covering the entire process from R&D to test flights and mass-production preparation. This system lays a solid foundation for the scaled manufacturing and commercial operation of XPENG AeroHT’s flying cars.

Founded in 2013, AeroHT is the largest flying car company in Asia and an ecosystem enterprise of XPENG Motors. Its flagship product, the “Land Aircraft Carrier,” is an innovative split-type flying car regarded as the world’s first flying-car model designed for mass-market delivery to individual users.

The AeroHT flying car factory located in Huangpu will produce the aircraft unit of the split-type flying car “Land Aircraft Carrier,” with a planned annual production capacity of 10,000 units.

The cooperation between the district-owned Guangzhou Development District Transportation Investment Group and XPENG AeroHT represents a deep alignment between state-owned infrastructure empowerment and private-sector technological innovation. Going forward, the two parties will continue to deepen their collaboration on mass-production test-flight operations, accelerating the transformation of technological achievements and the implementation of application scenarios.
