IEEE Smart Home International Alliance Established in Huangpu

Updated : 2025-12-02

On November 28, the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Smart Home International Alliance was officially inaugurated in Huangpu, marking Guangzhou’s first IEEE international standards alliance.

The alliance will focus on establishing three core platforms:

In terms of collaboration mechanisms, a cooperative network covering the entire industry chain will be built, aiming to attract over 200 member units within two years and consolidate industrial synergy.

Regarding standards development, the alliance will develop internationalized professional databases in areas such as smart voice interaction, visual recognition, and multimodal simulation. It will deepen efforts in formulating and promoting IEEE international standards, facilitate the elevation of advanced domestic technical standards into globally applicable norms, and support the home appliance industry in gaining greater influence in global standard-setting.

In ecosystem empowerment, the alliance will integrate cutting-edge fields such as AI, IoT, data assets, and edge computing, strengthen collaboration effectiveness across the industrial chain, deepen international technical cooperation, and promote the global expansion of smart home products and services.

The establishment of the IEEE Smart Home International Alliance not only fills a gap in Guangzhou’s layout of IEEE international standards alliances but also accelerates the internationalization of Huangpu’s smart home appliance industry cluster. It will further drive the global reach of smart home products and services and enhance the influence of Chinese smart appliance enterprises in the global standards system.
