Huangpu’s “Tech All-Star Team” Steals the Show at the 15th National Games

The 15th National Games not only showcased the dedication and competitive spirit of athletes but also highlighted the innovative strength of technology enterprises in the Greater Bay Area, with the “Huangpu Tech Forces” playing a notable role.

In the Games’ transportation support system, the autonomous driving company WeRide Inc., based in Huangpu, provided autonomous mobility solutions. During the event, WeRide, in collaboration with Guangzhou Public Transport Group, operated five autonomous shuttle bus routes connecting major venues such as the Olympic Sports Center, Tianhe Sports Center and Nansha Gymnasium, as well as metro stations, the Main Press Center and the International Broadcast Center. At the same time, WeRide’s S1 autonomous sweeping robots and S6 self-driving sanitation vehicles carried out urban cleaning and watering operations throughout the Games.

As an AI enterprise grown in Huangpu, Nexwise Intelligence China Limited showcased a series of self-developed smart security devices, forming a robust “AI security shield” for the Games.

In the broadcasting of the Games, Huangpu-based manufacturer Bosma presented its self-developed B1 8K full-frame camera, contributing to the ultra-high-definition public broadcast signal.

In the renovation and upgrade of event venues, Huangpu manufacturer Baiyun Pump Group Co., Ltd., serving as the core supplier of domestic water supply systems, wastewater treatment systems and supporting control equipment, provided solid technical support for the comprehensive modernization of venue infrastructure—ensuring safe, efficient and smooth operations during the opening ceremony and subsequent competitions.

The opening ceremony featured “water” as its core visual motif, using stagecraft and lighting technologies to interpret the power of flow. While the spotlight shone on the dazzling central stage, a series of high-efficiency “water systems” beneath the venue operated quietly yet reliably, delivering strong behind-the-scenes support for this grand sporting event.
