The 7th Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo and International Geographical Indications Products Trade Expo (hereinafter referred to as the “GBA IP Expo & Geographical Indications Expo”) will be held from October 31 to November 2 at the Guangzhou Knowledge City International Convention and Exhibition Center in Huangpu District, Guangzhou.
Under the theme “Promoting High-Quality Development through IP Commercialization and Application in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area,” this year’s expo aims to attract global innovation resources to gather in the Bay Area, providing strong support for building a dynamic and internationally competitive Bay Area.
This year’s edition surpasses previous ones in scale, featuring twelve thematic zones and two core exhibition halls — the “IP Trade Expo Hall” dedicated to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual properties, and the “Geographical Indications Trade Expo Hall.”
The event is expected to attract more than 200 domestic and international exhibitors. It will bring together high-quality operational service resources from across the Greater Bay Area in fields such as IP transactions, valuation, and financial services, building a high-end, integrated, and well-regulated platform for IP utilization and exchange.
A dedicated “IP Empowers New Quality Productive Forces Zone” will feature physical demonstrations and interactive experiences showcasing patent-intensive products and technologies in sectors such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and the low-altitude economy.
The expo will also include several specialized zones, such as “Patent Commercialization and Application” and “Intellectual Property Financial Innovation,” hosting nearly 30 themed activities — including innovation achievement roadshows and patent technology product promotions — aiming to connect research outcomes from universities and institutes with enterprises and financial organizations, accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into productive forces.
Actively serving national strategies, the expo will establish a special “IP Empowers the ‘Hundreds of Millions Project’ Zone” (also known as the “Baiqianwan Project Zone”), highlighting the latest achievements and successful cases of intellectual property in promoting technology-driven agriculture, consumption support, and the integration of agriculture with culture and tourism, providing strong support for the initiative.
