Recently, the “Hydrogen Gathers in the Bay Area, Exploring a Carbon-Neutral Future” Hydrogen Energy Industry Investment Promotion and Hydrogen Vehicle Supply-Demand Matching Conference for Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District was held in Guangzhou. The event brought together nearly 100 representatives from government departments, hydrogen energy enterprises, industry associations, and financial institutions to engage in in-depth discussions on the theme of “hydrogen energy.”

In terms of industrial cooperation, a significant signing ceremony was held involving seven leading enterprises across the hydrogen energy value chain—from hydrogen production and fuel cells to vehicle manufacturing and operations. The participants included Guangzhou Development District Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd., HTWO Guangzhou, Hynovation Technologies Co., Ltd., MingTian Hydrogen Energy, LINGNIU Hydrogen Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., CO-WIN Hydrogen Power, and Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment Co., Ltd.
At the event, the Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District Development and Reform Bureau, along with relevant enterprises, delivered presentations respectively on hydrogen energy policy incentives, hydrogen energy infrastructure construction and operation scenarios, and hydrogen energy property carriers, providing strong policy and implementation support to accelerate the industry’s growth.

As a National Demonstration Zone for Comprehensive Utilization of New Energy and a Provincial Demonstration Zone for Fuel Cell Vehicle Operations, Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District enjoy a solid industrial foundation and first-mover advantages. The districts have established a complete industrial chain encompassing hydrogen production, storage and transportation, the five key subsystems of fuel cell core components, vehicle manufacturing, and demonstration applications. To date, they have attracted over 20 hydrogen energy projects, including SinoHyKey Technology Guangzhou Co., Ltd., LINGNIU Hydrogen Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Hynovation Technologies Co., Ltd., and Hyundai HTWO, with a total investment exceeding 4 billion yuan. Two major industrial platforms—the Bay Area Hydrogen Valley Industrial Park and the Guangzhou International Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park—have been completed, with the first phase of the Bay Area Hydrogen Valley Industrial Park achieving an occupancy rate of over 90%.
