Since the Summer Summit was first held in Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District last year, several projects led by Yabuli member companies have taken root in the area. Among these, Maisense Medical’s global headquarters is nearing completion, Skyworth has established a sales subsidiary in Guangzhou, and WeRide has embarked on round-the-clock fully autonomous commercial operations. In addition, TCL CSOT has invested in building an 8.6-generation printed OLED production line (known as the “t8 project”) in the district, which will become a landmark project for China’s new display industry to achieve technological leapfrogging and global leadership. Meanwhile, the Taikang Home (Yueyuan) project, a flagship senior care community in South China, is leading the way in premium elderly care services.

Artificial intelligence emerged as a central topic of this year’s summit. Amid the evolving global landscape, entrepreneurs generally agreed that AI technology and global expansion are two crucial pathways to breaking through current growth bottlenecks.

Chen Jiao, Chairperson of PCI Technology Group and a representative of Guangzhou-based enterprises, shared practical cases of AI’s deep integration with the transportation sector. She highlighted the role of the AI Agent in smart mobility: for instance, dynamic traffic signal optimization based on real-time traffic data and AI decision-making can significantly improve traffic efficiency. “Guangzhou has indeed provided technology companies like us with abundant opportunities for innovative applications,” she emphasized.

On overseas expansion, Vincent Lo, Chairman of Shui On Group, noted that Chinese enterprises must compete in the broader global market against top-tier enterprises, a challenge that will in turn drive technological innovation, brand enhancement, and management optimization.

Currently, Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District possess a strong manufacturing foundation, robust technological innovation capabilities, and a business-friendly environment, providing fertile ground for small and medium-sized tech enterprises. The district has established five major industrial clusters each with an output value exceeding 100 billion yuan—automotive, new display technologies, green energy, new materials, and beauty and health—as well as three industrial clusters each valued at over 10 billion yuan in biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment, and integrated circuits. The total output value of large-scale industries surpasses 820 billion yuan, ranking the district among the top three in the Top 100 Industrial Districts in China. From January to July 2025, Huangpu District registered 188 new foreign-invested enterprises, up 12% year on year. Investment enthusiasm continues to rise, further polishing the district’s “golden calling card” of openness.
