Official Announcement: 2025 Huangpu Marathon Scheduled for December 28

The 2025 Huangpu Marathon has been officially scheduled for December 28 and will start in Guangzhou’s Huangpu District, once again igniting the city’s passion for running. It will bring together participants from around the world to experience the dynamic urban charm of Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District.

The Guangzhou Municipal Government recently released the Guangzhou Sports Development Plan (2024–2035) (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”). The plan identifies the Huangpu Marathon as a key component of the city’s “one district, one brand” event strategy, further promoting the development of road running in Guangzhou.

In 2025, the event organizers will continue to uphold their commitment to world-class standards, optimizing every aspect of the event—from course design and runner services to themed activities and supporting events. They aim to create a more immersive, exciting, and unforgettable marathon experience for all participants, while driving the growth of the local sports industry. The marathon also embodies the resilience, determination, and vitality that contribute to Huangpu’s vision of building an “Innovative, Open, Ecological, Civilized, and Happy Huangpu.”
