The 2025 Guangzhou Huangpu International Tennis Open and International Men’s Professional Tennis Challenger recently kicked off, attracting over 70 top tennis players from nearly 20 countries and regions in Huangpu to compete for professional honors.

The Opening Ceremony

At the opening ceremony, a special “ball boy” took the spotlight — the industrial quadruped robot MAXHUB X7, independently developed by CVTE Corporation. This marks the first time in an international professional tennis event that a quadruped robot served as a ball boy for the opening ceremony, highlighting Huangpu District and Guangzhou High-Tech Zone as a leading hub of technological innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

During the ceremony, the MAXHUB X7 executed its tasks with precision, delivering the match ball to the ceremonial guest. With its agile movements and cutting-edge technology, the robot became a vivid representative of “Huangpu-Made Innovation”, allowing the audience to experience the fusion of sports events and advanced technology, creating a striking technological highlight on the court.

It is reported that the MAXHUB X7 utilizes high-performance electrically driven joints and adaptive gait algorithms, enabling it to steadily traverse steep slopes up to 35°, stairs, stone pavements, gravel, and grass, making it perfectly suited for various playing surface conditions. Its robust environmental adaptability allows it to operate continuously in temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 55℃, performing exceptionally even amidst Guangzhou’s unpredictable weather. In the future, the MAXHUB X7 quadruped robot is expected to be applied in intelligent meteorology emergency coordination, enhancing the speed, precision, and stability of artificial weather modification operations.
