Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Huangpu) Talent Hub Inaugurated

The opening ceremony of the third session of the 2025 Summer Master’s and Doctoral Students Research Program, “Bay Attraction · Converging Talent in Guangdong”, was recently launched in Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District. Fifty PhD students from top overseas universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, embarked on an in-depth exploration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

As a national-level bilateral cooperation platform and the innovation engine of Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District, the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City served as the core venue of this event. It showcased its industrial foundation and strengths in strategic emerging sectors such as biopharmaceuticals, integrated circuits, and new energy vehicles. To date, the area has nurtured over 50,000 market entities, attracted more than 300 foreign-invested enterprises, and achieved over 100 outcomes from China-Singapore cooperation.

Following the event, the Guangdong Provincial Talent Service Bureau officially conferred the title of “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Huangpu) Talent Hub” on the International Talent Free Port. Going forward, the talent authorities of Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District will maintain close collaboration with overseas PhD scholars and other professionals, providing ongoing support and services to drive innovation-led industrial development. This initiative seeks to establish an integrated “industry-academia-research-application” talent development framework and contribute to building a high-level talent hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
