Delegation from the National Library of Uzbekistan Conducts In-Depth Visit to Huangpu District Library

With the active facilitation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou and Guangzhou Library, Umida Teshabayeva, Director of the National Library of Uzbekistan, recently led a delegation on a comprehensive visit to Huangpu District Library in Guangzhou. The delegation toured the Intellectual Property Branch Library, Longhu Street Branch Library, and the main Huangpu District Library (Xiangxue Branch), with particular focus on the district's achievements in library architecture, innovative public cultural spaces, digital library services, and the integration of cultural resources with regional industrial development.

In recent years, Huangpu District has actively pursued innovative approaches to public cultural service development. The district pioneered a unique "main-branch library system" model featuring "government resource support + enterprise autonomous operation + community participation," establishing what is now known as the "Huangpu Model." Additionally, the district has implemented comprehensive "Culture Empowerment" programming that delivers over 300 events annually. Through strategic partnerships with multiple public cultural service brands, Huangpu District organized more than 5,000 cultural events in 2024 alone, reaching over 3.5 million participants.
