Huangpu District, Guangzhou Ranks Sixth in "2025 CCID China's Top 100 Districts"

Recently, the CCID Consulting Urban Economic Research Center released the 2025 Research Report on High-Quality Economic Development of Chinese Urban Districts and announced the "2025 CCID China's Top 100 Districts." Huangpu District, Guangzhou ranked sixth on the list.

Currently, Huangpu has established five hundred-billion-yuan industrial clusters (automobile manufacturing, new display technologies, green energy, new materials, and beauty & health) and three ten-billion-yuan clusters (biotechnology, high-end equipment, and integrated circuits). A trillion-yuan manufacturing framework is taking shape, led by industries such as biomedicine, integrated circuits, and new energy vehicles. Additionally, Huangpu is actively exploring emerging sectors, strategically developing future industries including artificial intelligence, new energy storage, aerospace, and the low-altitude economy.

Xpeng Motors Intelligent Manufacturing Base

Strong industrial support has delivered impressive results. In the first half of this year, Huangpu achieved above-scale industrial output of 395.1 billion yuan, with pillar industries flourishing across multiple sectors. Led by companies like Xpeng Motors, robust production and sales in the new energy vehicle sector drove the automobile industry to achieve 62.36 billion yuan in output, up 8.7% year-on-year. Rising orders from companies such as CanSemi drove a 17.1% increase in integrated circuit output, while the energy sector maintained steady positive growth with 90.62 billion yuan in output.

As a scientific and technological innovation hub for Guangzhou and the nation, Huangpu has built a "2+3+N" strategic sci-tech innovation platform cluster, anchored by the Guangzhou Laboratory and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area National Technology Innovation Center. The district hosts over 1,000 research institutions of various types, accounting for two-thirds of Guangdong Province's high-level innovation research institutes and half of Guangzhou's provincial-level new R&D institutions, ranking among the nation's leaders in both research institution density and innovation capacity.

Meanwhile, enterprise innovation across the district continues to surge with robust momentum in sci-tech development. Huangpu has attracted 48,000 small and medium-sized enterprises and over 3,000 high-tech companies. In the first half of this year, 48,300 new market entities were registered—a 90.1% year-on-year increase—bringing the total number of active market entities to 317,900, up 21.3% from the previous year.

As one of Guangzhou's premier investment destinations, Huangpu is demonstrating to the world with its solid industrial foundation and outstanding performance data that "Investing in Huangpu is a smart and reliable choice."
