Updated : 2026-08-07

On July 30, the main structure of the Changling Street Community Health Service Center project in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, was fully topped out, marking the project’s official transition into the stages of electromechanical installation, medical gas system construction, and healthcare facility interior finishing.

Located north of Yongshun Avenue and west of Lingtou Xincun in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, the project consists of a nine-story above-ground tower and two basement levels, with a building height of 44.4 meters and a planned capacity of 99 beds. Covering a land area of 4,495 square meters, the project has a total floor area of 19,427 square meters, including 13,631 square meters of above-ground space and 5,796 square meters of underground space. Integrating medical services, disease prevention, health care, rehabilitation, and health education, the facility will effectively address gaps in primary healthcare infrastructure in Changling Subdistrict.

Upon completion, the center will become one of the largest modern community health service centers in Guangdong Province, providing services to 80,000 to 100,000 residents in Changling Subdistrict. It is expected to achieve a free health examination coverage rate of at least 90% among residents aged 65 and above, a childhood vaccination coverage rate of at least 95%, and account for 62.2% of outpatient visits at primary healthcare institutions in Huangpu District. The project will help divert demand for basic diagnosis and treatment services, reduce the general outpatient burden on tertiary hospitals by 10% to 15%, reduce unnecessary medical visits, optimize regional healthcare resource allocation, and enable tertiary hospitals to focus on the diagnosis and treatment of complex and critical illnesses. Ultimately, it will comprehensively improve the quality and continuity of primary healthcare services in the area.
