Fixed-Asset Investment in Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District Surpasses RMB 100 Billion in H1 2026

In the first half of 2026, Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District recorded fixed-asset investment of RMB 101.56 billion, with industrial investment reaching RMB 34.88 billion, up 9.4% year on year.

From January to June 2026, Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District signed 300 projects with a total contracted investment of approximately RMB 105.2 billion. Among them, five projects involved investments of over RMB 10 billion, including three projects with both investment and output value exceeding RMB 10 billion, and 19 projects with investments of over RMB 1 billion. The three projects with both investment and output value exceeding RMB 10 billion are the Gotion Group Guangzhou Development District New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Base Project, the Guangzhou Fastprint Technology High-End PCB Project, and the Xingsen Technology AI Integrated Circuit Substrate Project.

According to reports, foreign-funded projects in Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District have achieved both growth in quantity and improvement in quality. Among them, Fortune Global 500 company Veolia Group signed an agreement with state-owned enterprises affiliated with Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District to invest approximately RMB 100 million in building a carbon capture facility. Germany-based TÜV Rheinland will invest approximately RMB 150 million to establish its Greater Bay Area Operations Center.

In the intelligent connected vehicle and new energy vehicle industries, Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District have focused on leading enterprise XPeng Motors and introduced the Top Group Guangzhou Base Project to strengthen nearby supporting facilities for XPeng Motors. Nippon Paint China’s South China Automotive Coatings Production Base Project has also been launched in Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District, focusing on the production and sales of high-performance automotive coatings, water-based automotive coatings and related products.
