"A New Guangzhou" television program recently aired a Huangpu special episode which interviewed four foreign expats living there. Despite coming from different countries, walks of life, and lifestyles, they are all deeply attracted to the district.
Alexander Vladimirovich Strunnikov, a US researcher at the Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that he has lived in Huangpu for more than 18 years. He was fascinated by the creative science ideas and convenient transport network in the district.
Giacomo Nieri, a wine importer from Italy, is committed to supplying boutique wines to five-star hotels around the world. He has been in China for five years and was amazed by the greenways across Huangpu which boasts a unique landscape, offering a way of getting in touch with nature and recharging oneself amid a busy life.

Jamie Robert Arnett, a University of Cambridge graduate that currently works at ISA International School, was most impressed with the development speed of Huangpu. He witnessed the rise of a consumption center over the past four years in the district.
Beth Jones, a British teacher with more than 30 years of working experience in Britain, Greece, and Russia, currently holds the position of director of marketing communications at the ISA International Education Group. Jones said that she has been to the district for six years and there is still a lot she can learn, especially in terms of education.
