As the Spring Festival approaches, more and more families in Guangzhou’s Huangpu District are set to celebrate their first reunion in brand-new homes. This has been made possible by the district’s vigorous promotion of a housing voucher-based resettlement model as part of its urban village redevelopment efforts. To date, the district has recorded a total of 7,090 housing vouchers purchased, with a combined value of 12.5 billion yuan (RMB). A total of 3,110 vouchers have been issued, and 1,511 housing units have completed online contract signings.
