Updated : 2025-05-21

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's first specialized emergency technology industrial park opened in the Guangzhou High-Tech Zone.

This facility, developed jointly by Guangzhou Development District (GDD) Investment Group and Guangzhou Industrial Control Group, has received an investment of over 1 billion yuan ($138 million). It will serve as the venue for the 2025 Guangzhou Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Awareness Week.

The complex, spanning 22,000 square meters, features a 110,000-sq-m built-up area containing office towers, commercial spaces, and residential facilities. Designed as "One Park, Dual Centers", it integrates the Guangzhou Chemical Trade Center and the Greater Bay Area Emergency Industry Service Center, focusing on chemical trading, emergency services, and smart management systems.

The 2025 Guangzhou-Huangpu Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Awareness Week was launched at Guangzhou Emergency Industrial Park, aligning with its opening. Centered on "economic development, safety assurance, event excellence, and quality enhancement", the initiative drives AI integration into disaster management systems, using intelligent solutions to strengthen urban safety frameworks. Ten enterprises signed partnership agreements to advance emergency industry innovation during the event.

GDD Investment Group is committed to advancing tech-focused industrial clusters by establishing customized facilities and fostering ecosystem integration. The collaboration between Huangpu district and Guangzhou High-Tech Zone aims to cultivate influential industrial parks that will propel technological advancement and enhance emergency preparedness across the Greater Bay Area.
