Updated : 2025-05-09

In the first quarter of 2025, XPeng Motors topped the national new energy vehicle delivery ranking with 94,008 units delivered, helping Guangzhou's new energy vehicle production to rebound after a slowdown, with a 0.7 percent year-on-year increase in the first quarter.

XPeng's comeback is attributed to its popular low-price strategy. With annual sales of 190,000 in 2024, the company delivered 93,000 vehicles in the first quarter of 2025, aiming for a total of 380,000 for the year. The MONA M03 starts at 119,800 yuan ($16,528), pushing the threshold for advanced autonomous driving below 200,000 yuan, with the 100,000th unit already produced. The new P7+ comes with standard 5C supercharging and Turing AI autonomous driving, offering a 450-kilometer range after a 10-minute charge at a 20 percent reduced price.

In terms of technology, XPeng has invested 4.5 billion yuan in AI research and development, comprising half of its research and development expenditure. The "XPeng World Base Model" parameters revealed in April reached 720 billion, showcasing outstanding inference and prediction capabilities for smoother autonomous driving.

Furthermore, XPeng unveiled the land aircraft carrier and humanoid robot IRON at auto shows, aiming to become the world's leading AI automotive company.

With a global network of 150 stores, the company's strategic expansion positions it as the first new energy vehicle manufacturer to surpass 10,000 deliveries across Europe.

The company aims to double its sales in 2025 by entering 60 countries and enhancing profit margins through the export of high-end models.
