Recently, the project of the Affiliated High-Tech Experimental School at South China Normal University was signed at the university.

A new chapter in education unfolded as South China Normal University officially signed the agreement for its Affiliated High-Tech Experimental School. This marks the university’s latest public school project in Huangpu district, expanding its footprint in basic education across key innovation hubs—including the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Guangzhou Science City, and Maritime Silk Road City.

The new school will be a nine-year institution located in the Wenchong Dongcheng Urban Renewal Project. It is divided into three campuses — Dutou, Wenyuan, and Jiangbei — with a planned capacity of over 100 classes.

Using its academic strengths and seasoned leadership teams, South China Normal University aims to introduce a group-based education model tailored to regional needs. The school is set to become a new landmark for quality education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. By integrating Huangpu’s unique cultural and urban characteristics, it will foster innovative and locally grounded educational development.

The school’s establishment not only brings high-quality educational resources to local families but also attracts outstanding students and faculty, helping to elevate the overall education standards in the district.

Huangpu has 263 schools at all levels and types, with 47 new primary and secondary schools opened in the past five years, adding approximately 79,000 new school places. The number of new schools and the increase in school places rank first in the city.
