Huangpu Station to be constructed as major integrated transport hub

On April 9, Huangpu district and Guangzhou Metro Group will work together to advance the planning and construction of Huangpu Railway Station, aiming to create a benchmark comprehensive transportation hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Huangpu Railway Station is a crucial node in Guangzhou's railway hub layout in Guangzhou Maritime Silk Road City. With the advantage of rapid north-south connections to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, and other areas, it will become the intercity hub for the east and west banks of the Greater Bay Area entering Guangzhou, enhancing the importance of Guangzhou and Huangpu district in the Bay Area's transportation network.

Once completed, Huangpu Station is expected to facilitate high-speed rail connections with the following travel times: 15 minutes to the city centers of Dongguan and Zhongshan, 20 minutes to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, 30 minutes to the city centers of Shenzhen and Zhuhai, three to four hours to Fuzhou and Wuhan, five to six hours to Hangzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Chengdu, and eight hours to Beijing.

As a municipal State-owned enterprise, Guangzhou Metro Group has rich practical experience in preparing, planning, designing, constructing, and operating large-scale comprehensive transportation hubs.

Positioned as a high-value business passenger hub for short-distance trips within the Greater Bay Area, Huangpu Station is designated as the top hub in the Greater Bay Area. The surrounding area will be developed into a future industrial and technological innovation hub.
