Low-altitude logistics air route opened between Guangzhou, Dongguan

On April 1, the cross-city low-altitude logistics air route between Guangzhou and Dongguan was launched.

A drone utilized for the transportation of cross-border e-commerce goods departed from the Huangpu Comprehensive Bonded Zone and arrived at the Dongguan Shuixiang Hexi Digital Industrial Zone in just 10 minutes. This operation represents a milestone, as it constitutes the nation's inaugural cross-city low-altitude logistics air route for cross-border e-commerce activities.

The route was developed through cooperation between the Guangzhou Development District (GDD) and the Dongguan Shuixiang Economic Zone, serving as the first demonstration project in the low-altitude economic cooperation between Guangzhou and Dongguan. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the GDD Transportation Investment Group operates it.

This collaboration signifies a new attempt to break through the spatial boundaries of air travel by opening regional low-altitude air routes, drone client direct delivery, and drone "warehouse-store" direct delivery in Huangpu district.

This innovative flight marks a breakthrough in the urban boundaries of cross-border e-commerce bonded direct purchase low-altitude logistics, showcasing the depth and breadth of cooperation between Guangzhou and Dongguan. It provides a solution for constructing low-altitude logistics air routes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
