Huangpu's 1st Lantern Festival lights up night sky

The first Lantern Festival in Huangpu district is held at Xiangxue Park from Feb 7 to 28.

A 7-meter-tall Goddess of Plum Blossoms lantern stands proudly in the center of Meixiang Lake, shining in harmony with the plum blossoms, symbolizing beauty and new beginnings.

Lantern displays such as Guangzhou Pink Snake, Spirit Snake Celebrating the New Year, and Big Fish and Begonia showcase a magnificent world of light and shadow, offering visitors a dreamlike experience.

The Plum Blossom area in Xiangxue Park includes areas for green plums and flowering plums, featuring a variety of species. The peak blooming period for red plum blossoms is in February.

Visitors can participate in romantic "snow" parties, visit popular spots like the Pink Mountain, join Hanfu Fish Lantern parades, and enjoy intangible cultural heritage performances within the park, experiencing a perfect blend of romance and tradition.
