Progress achieved on Dongpeng Avenue development

Recently, the construction project of the southern extension of Dongpeng Avenue has made significant progress.

The 44 steel box girders of the main structure of the Huangpu East Road overpass have all been lifted, achieving connectivity. This 622-meter-long Huangpu East Road overpass is a key urban thoroughfare with a bridge deck width of 26 meters.

Since the project started, the team has overcome various challenges, including pipeline relocation, extension of traffic diversion routes, and coordination with the construction of the nearby Metro Line 13. Currently, the Dongpeng Avenue project has completed the construction of the Baosha Road tunnel and the main structure of the Huangpu East Road overpass.

The Dongpeng Avenue project is one of the key projects in implementing Guangzhou's "Northern Superiority" and "Eastern Expansion" strategies. Once completed and open to traffic, it is set to serve as an essential link connecting the eastern and western zones of the Guangzhou Development District, further enhancing the transportation network in Huangpu district and improving traffic conditions in the surrounding areas.
