Guangzhou city section of Ningpu Avenue opens to traffic

The Guangzhou Development District Section of Ningpu Avenue opened to traffic on Oct 19.

The road serves as a key link between Huangpu and Zengcheng districts, spanning 6.25 kilometers, providing strong support for the collaborative construction of the eastern center of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province.

The Ningpu Avenue (GDD Section) municipal road project is positioned as a main urban artery with six lanes in each direction.

The project emphasizes eco-friendly priorities, striving to protect the surrounding environment and minimize the impact of manufacturing  and the daily lives of nearby residents through soundproofing other measures.

Following the opening of Ningpu Avenue (GDD Section), it directly connects the Chenjialin area in Zengcheng and the Yunpu Industrial Zone in Huangpu. This eliminates the need for residents to detour via the Guangyuan Expressway and enhances transportation links between the two districts, reducing travel time by about half an hour.

The full opening of Ningpu Avenue is expected to further strengthen regional cooperation and coordination – injecting new vitality into the advancement of the eastern center construction in Guangzhou.
