Milestone achieved in Guangdong-Singapore cooperation

On July 31, the 14th meeting of the Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council was held at the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, marking significant achievements in the 15-year partnership.

During the meeting, 20 cooperation agreements were signed, with the Knowledge City sealing deals for 10 key projects, showcasing the depth and breadth of collaboration between both parties.

SCG Cell Therapy is set to establish its Chinese headquarters and production base in the Knowledge City, with an expected investment of 1 to 1.4 billion yuan ($138.73-194.22 million) over the next three to five years.

The Knowledge City, in collaboration with Singapore's Keppel Integrated Energy Services Limited, is poised to advance comprehensive energy management and operation projects to develop smart, low-carbon urban infrastructure.

The Guangzhou Institute for Innovation of the National University of Singapore signed a cooperation project with Guangzhou New Mingrui Intelligent Technology Company to jointly promote the development of industrial robotics.

The President of the National University of Singapore expressed that establishing this research institute is expected to provide long-term strategic support for talent development and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This series of collaborations is set to further drive cooperation between both parties in technological innovation, smart city development, and talent cultivation, ushering in new opportunities for addressing future societal challenges.
