Huangpu unveils forward-looking policies to drive digital economy industry

The first administrative plan for intellectual property protection in the digital economy, titled "Enhancing Intellectual Property Protection in Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District," was recently released in Huangpu district.

The plan outlines 20 specific tasks across five key areas, including industry exploration, enhancing efficiency in intellectual property utilization, and building a service industry cluster ecosystem.

It highlights five major innovative areas, such as rich policy supply, high-quality data operation, high-level supporting services, strong innovative initiatives, and stringent environmental protection standards, all aimed at fostering the coordinated development of the digital economy and intellectual property rights.

Key initiatives in the plan include strengthening the exploration of intellectual property in the digital economy industry, establishing a service ecosystem for intellectual property, and exploring innovations in rights confirmation and utilization systems.

By implementing specific tasks, such as supporting the development of new data infrastructure industrial chains, nurturing high-value patents, and establishing industry patent pools, the plan aims to accelerate the reform of the market-oriented allocation of digital economy factors, providing enterprises with a stable environment for intellectual property protection and driving the development of the digital economy.
