Huangpu launches revolutionary 256-line lidar

Jiepu Electronics, a leading enterprise in Huangpu district, Guangzhou, recently launched the industry's first 256-line high-performance automotive-grade lidar, the AD2-s. This achievement represents a significant advance in China's core technology in intelligent driving.

Regarded as the "intelligent eyes" of autonomous driving, the AD2-s lidar plays a crucial role in intelligent driving systems. Its superior detection capabilities significantly enhance the safety and intelligence level of the system.

This product is a joint development between Beijing Jiepu Trend Technology and Jiepu Electronics. The lidar production line showcases Guangzhou's achievements in technological innovation and marks a breakthrough in key technical areas.

Compact in size and integrating exclusive patented technologies, the lidar is expected to go into mass production in March 2024. It has already been designated for use in over 200,000 intelligent vehicles. Jiepu Trend anticipates a new leap in product delivery this year.

Jiepu Trend's production line boasts an automation rate of over 95 percent, and a LiDAR unit is produced every three minutes, demonstrating industry-leading standards. 

As an indispensable sensor in intelligent driving, lidar is propelling China to a leading position in the global intelligent driving field. This innovative achievement in Huangpu is expected to nurture more leading enterprises, advancing national technological progress and industrial development.
