Huangpu leads in AI with algorithm competition

The 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Huangpu) International Algorithm Competition award ceremony and the launch of the 3rd edition were held in Huangpu district on Jan 12.

The event attracted experts and scholars in the field of algorithms, government representatives, and representatives from over 100 leading AI companies to discuss AI algorithms and talent development.

Huangpu seized this opportunity to become a hub for AI algorithm and talent development, propelling the transformation of high-value outcomes to inject new vitality into the digital economy. 

The competition, serving as a new bridge in the technology industry, has been held twice, drawing broad participation from top domestic and international universities and renowned companies.

During the event, champion teams from 10 competition tracks showcased their algorithmic achievements. Additionally, round-table forums on large model single point technology and industry large model applications were held, where experts deeply discussed the application prospects of large models.

Huangpu also unveiled a multimodal foundational large model named "Huangpu Star." This model, superior in its technical architecture and application capabilities, is expected to advance customized medical, industrial, and governmental development and become a national testbed for leading technologies.

As the main engine of high-quality development in Guangzhou, Huangpu drives technological innovation, building a "2+3+N" strategic science and technology innovation platform cluster. The district has gathered numerous research institutions and high-tech enterprises, striving to create a modern Huangpu model for China and contribute to national scientific and technological innovation.
