Huangpu's rise in unicorn enterprises marks technological, industrial progress

The 2022 list of unicorn and potential unicorn enterprises for Huangpu district, featuring 14 prominent companies from Huangpu, was recently announced. This list underscores the district's significant technological innovation and industrial development achievements.

Guangzhou CanSemi Technology and Aulton New Energy Automotive Technology, specializing in new energy automotive technology, have been recognized as unicorn enterprises. CanSemi focuses on manufacturing 12-inch chips and is a leading 12-inch chip manufacturing platform in Guangdong province and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. 

To support its development, Huangpu has accelerated the construction of the Greater Bay Area Semiconductor Industrial Park, creating a complete integrated circuit industry chain.

Aulton New Energy Automotive Technology excels in the new energy vehicle battery exchange technology field, holding over 1,600 global patents. Huangpu supports this company in building a new energy vehicle industry cluster in the district.

Huangpu is committed to creating a technology innovation ecosystem, establishing a cluster of strategic technology innovation platforms, and gathering over 1,000 research institutions. The district also actively develops high-tech industry clusters, including automobile manufacturing, new display technology, and green energy.

The district is home to over 40,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including more than 2,800 high-tech enterprises.

Looking ahead, Huangpu will continue to provide fertile ground for business development, supporting more enterprises to grow and flourish, with the expectation of more unicorn enterprises to succeed in the future.
