Conference highlights Guangzhou's leadership in gaming industry

The 2023 China Game Industry Annual Conference was held from Dec 14 to 15 in Huangpu district, gathering numerous renowned figures from the gaming industry.

This year's conference, themed "Inheriting Cultural Heritage and Crafting Masterpieces," delved into critical industry topics such as gaming responsibility, cultural and artistic innovation, the internationalization of games, and copyright finance. It aimed to promote high-quality development in China's gaming industry.

One of the highlights of this conference was the release of the 2023 China Gaming Industry Report, which revealed that China's gaming market sales exceeded 300 billion yuan ($44.1 billion) for the first time, with the user base also reaching a historic high. The conference also focused on the integration of gaming and finance, exploring innovative models for future industry trends.

During the event, the Guangzhou Association for the Promotion of Cultural and Financial Development signed multiple agreements with various enterprises to drive collaborative projects in the culture, tourism, and digital sectors, positioning Guangzhou as a pioneer city in cultural financial innovation.

Since its inception in Huangpu in 2020, the China Game Industry Conference has become one of the most influential meetings in China's digital entertainment industry.

The successful organization of this year's conference not only showcased Guangzhou's leading position in the gaming industry but also provided an important platform for promoting industry exchange and cooperation.
