Guangzhou's Huangpu district will have an additional 2,900 medical beds upon the completion of three medical projects. This is according to the latest official update of these construction projects.

A surgical complex building was recently capped as part of the second phase of the Lingnan branch hospital of Sun Yat-sen University's Third Affiliated Hospital. It aims to establish a grade-A tertiary hospital that integrates medical treatment, disease prevention, rehabilitation, education, and research.

The East Wing of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University recently announced its renovation and expansion project. The renovation will involve demolishing existing structures and erecting a new inpatient building, among other facilities.

The project will break ground in 2024. Upon its completion in 2027, it will accommodate 1,200 beds in a floorage area of 172,000 sq m. As a pivotal healthcare institution in eastern Guangzhou, this project seeks to further elevate the hospital's services.

The Guangzhou Twelfth People's Hospital's new branch in Huangpu has finalized its electrical work. Covering about 141,200 sq m, it's designed to house 800 beds. The first phase of this project is expected to offer 600 beds, catering to over 3,000 outpatients and emergency patients daily.

The advancement of these three projects signifies Huangpu's commitment to delivering more accessible and efficient medical services.
