Huangpu's remarkable five-year growth

Over the past five years, Guangzhou's Huangpu district has undergone significant development and transformation.

During this time, Huangpu established the nation's first innovation demonstration zone with the motto "Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Can Achieve Big." The district also vigorously promoted technological innovation, industrial modernization, and international openness, all of which injected new vitality into the local economy.

Huangpu has attracted nearly 48,000 small and medium-sized enterprises. Among these, 119 have been recognized as national-level "Little Giants", and seven have been listed on the 2023 list of "Hurun Future Unicorns."

In terms of technological innovation, Huangpu has set up a strategic technological innovation platform cluster, becoming the only region in the country that simultaneously possesses a national laboratory and a national technology innovation center.

Regarding industrial transformation, Huangpu has constructed an integrated circuit industry circle that has drawn in over 120 related enterprises. The district's biopharmaceutical sector has also grown robustly, forming a comprehensive industrial chain.

In terms of international collaboration and openness, Huangpu has attracted numerous overseas enterprises, including Lion TCR, which is a clinical-stage biotechnology company that is dedicated to the continued development and commercialization of TCR-T therapy.

Over five years, the amount of foreign investment utilized ranked first among the national economic development zones.

To enhance the quality of life for its residents, Huangpu has emphasized improvements in living standards. Transportation and road facilities have been upgraded, and green initiatives have been continuously reinforced, resulting in vast greenways and parks. Educational resources have also seen substantial enhancements with the addition of many schools and kindergartens.

In summary, Huangpu has made remarkable progress over the past five years, injecting new vigor into Guangzhou's further development.
